Chris has utilized his strategic and operational expertise to enhance the overall performance of the club and real estate entities he currently oversees. The mastery to do so has been honed at properties he has led globally: from across the United States to the United Kingdom and the Middle East. His ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining a clear perspective of goals, objectives and sound fiscal practices has never been more evident than in his present-day post; Chris is leading the current transformation and rapid development of New Seabury.
Prior to assuming his current role in 2017, Chris spent almost 15 years in a variety of senior leadership positions within Troon, the world's largest golf management company. While with Troon, he managed a mix of large-scale resorts and private membership clubs, most recently as General Manager & COO of BallenIsles Country Club in Palm Beach Gardens, FL from 2015 – 2017. Before working at BallenIsles, he led multiple clubs as the Group General Manager at Abu Dhabi Golf Club and Saadiyat Beach Golf Club in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates from 2012 – 2015. Prior to that Card served as the Golf Club General Manager & Director of Golf at Turnberry Resort in Scotland from 2009 – 2012, where he hosted the 2009 Open Championship and the 2012 Senior Open Championship.
Chris's notable management positions earlier in his career include: Golf Club General Manager & Director of Golf at Innisbrook Resort in Palm Harbor, FL; Director of Golf at Bali Hai Golf Club in Las Vegas, NV; and Head Golf Professional at The Broadmoor Resort in Colorado Springs, CO.
A 1993 graduate from the University of North Carolina, Wilmington, Chris has earned numerous awards for his work, including being named Troon's "Global Ambassador of the Year." He is an active member of the Club Management Association of America and the PGA of America.
